The penultimate day of Round One of the Swiss Stage of the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #3 powered by INUI took place last night, seeing one series played with Marsborne taking on Legacy Kingdom in the latter organization's debut in Eagle Masters Series.
Unfortunately the second series of the night was unfortunately forfeited by Arrival Seven as the team withdrew from the event this week.

Marsborne 2-1
Legacy Kingdom
The series between Marsborne and Legacy Kingdom began on the latter team's pick of Ancient, where an indecisive 7-5 CT-side lead by Marsborne gave way into a marathon of a map after Legacy Kingdom managed to force overtime after a 7-5 CT-side of their own. The first overtime was quite insane as neither team were able to find a single CT round while winning all three T-side rounds, meaning they tied up Ancient once again and forced the game in double OT.
In double OT, Legacy Kingdom set themselves onto the path of victory with another perfect T-side before sneaking in a CT-side round to take the map 19-16. The win on their map pick was propelled by a great showing from Ben "HAMBOOGA" Wetrich who posted 30 kills and a 1.34 rating on the map.
With Marsborne trailing in the series heading into their map pick of Nuke, they played a game much more akin to what we expect from the experienced team. They kicked off proceedings on Nuke with a 9-3 win on their T-side before going 4-2 on their CT-side to win the map 13-5. Adam "Grizz" Golden led proceedings with 19 kills and a 1.57 rating as Marsborne forced the series onto Inferno.
With the series tied up, the first half of Inferno was quite competitive as Legacy Kingdom took an early 6-2 lead on their CT-side before Marsborne answered back to tie things up 6-6 at halftime. After switching sides this deadlock was broken by a new-perfect CT-side from Marsborne as they won seven out of the next eight rounds to take the map 13-7 and the series 2-1.
While Marsborne secured the win at the end of the day, Legacy Kingdom should be proud of their performance especially in the early days of their new roster.
We will be back in action tonight with Chicken Coop taking on Aether at 06:00PM to round out Round One of the Swiss Stage. Hope to see you there!
