A close win by Shimmer over their fellow Impact team was the highlight of the day.

Day two of the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #3 powered by INUI took place yesterday, seeing two series played in round one of the Swiss Stage as the event slowly picks up steam amidst a busy schedule for many in the NA scene.

Last night's action saw Wildcard take on ASPYRE to kick off the day while Shimmer v. FlyQuest RED rounded out the night.

United States Shimmer 2-1 FlyQuest RED

The second series of the night was far more exciting as it saw NA's best Impact teams play a pitched three-map series for the first time since the ESL Impact League Season 7 Online Stage. Starting on Mirage, FlyQuest RED claimed a decisive and shocking 13-1 victory on their map pick, demolishing Shimmer while Emma "Emy" Choe led the way with 20 kills and a 2.6 rating.

With Shimmer on the backfoot they started Nuke with a narrow 7-5 win on their T-side before posting a perfect CT-side to win the map 13-5, rallying in a big way to force the series onto Dust2.

Heading onto the decider map in the series, Dust2, FlyQuest RED start their CT-side with a narrow 4-2 lead that was swept away by a perfect run of six rounds from Shimmer to see the latter team lead 8-4 at the half. The second half saw the two Impact squads trade rounds in a competitive fashion, however the lead Shimmer amassed on their T-side as well as a great showing from Lucy "empathy" Verkaik let her team take the map 13-8 and the series 2-1.
