Aether and Verstappen peek top NA Revival Series #8 Qualifier

Last night the open qualifier for the NA Revival Series #8 saw 35 teams fight it out for two spots in the main event, with Aether and a mixteam named Verstappen peek ultimately topping the list. The Open Qualifier notably featured a lower attendance and less notable squads than the previous Revival Series qualifier, likely due to the busy schedule at the moment, paving the way for smaller squads to make deep runs in the qualifier.

Aether's journey through the Open Qualifier saw them start with a 13-2 win over a low-level stack named Cache Bandits before taking a surprisingly close 13-10 victory against SKDC, a real throwback squad featuring Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien and Derek "desi" Branchen. Next up, the team smashed antigrind on Inferno and then bested DerpTuah 13-11 on Train to lock in a spot in the main event.

On the other side of the bracket, Verstappen peek kicked things off with a win over team cjb on Dust2 before besting TSG 13-8 on Mirage. Finally, the team claimed a 13-9 win over Mirage and a 13-10 victory over Atlantis on Mirage to claim the final spot. Verstappen peek consists of some notable names including Devin "AtomiK" Ferrell, Kyle "Just2EZ" Tan, and Dave "seziwana" Schrage.
