Good luck, Pimp

Pimp set to run Ironman race in Copenhagen

It will be a culmination of six months of "hard work," as Pimp put it.

Former Liquid player turned analyst Jacob "Pimp" Winneche will participate in Ironman Copenhagen 2025 this Sunday, August 17th. The Ironman course includes swimming, cycling, and running.

According to Pimp, he spent the past six months preparing for the race.

"Combining Ironman training with the CS2 event calendar has been one of the biggest challenges of my life," Pimp said. "[I spent] 120 days away from home this year already."

And, if an Ironman wasn't difficult on its own, Pimp's challenge became even harder as he got a cold after flying from Malta, where he worked at BLAST Bounty Season 2 online stage.

It does look like Pimp will make it, though. He told fans this Friday that he still has a small fever, and he'll attend the Ironman if things get "just slightly better."

Should Pimp complete the Ironman race, he'll not have much time to celebrate and rest because he's due to board a plane to work at the Esports World Cup 2025 in Saudi Arabia roughly 24 hours after the race.

Pimp has been advocating for a healthy lifestyle ever since he was still a pro. He lost a lot of weight during his career, and according to his X bio, he lost 60 kg (132 pounds) over the years.

We wish him a speedy recovery and good luck on the Ironman challenge.
