Evil Geniuses Stockholm holo prices have skyrocketed 2,000% this month

The price of Evil Geniuses' holographic stickers from the Stockholm 2021 Major has increased exponentially in recent days.

This is odd, as other items from the same event have gone up, but only by around 200%. Pricempire posted the price increase on X, sarcastically saying that it is "nothing but normal market activity."

On August 2nd, 222 of the EG holos were sold for $34, a massive increase from the $1.50 average price it was at just a couple of months ago.

This isn't entirely unprecedented, though, as when other major organizations have left Counter-Strike, their major stickers have increased greatly in value due to the lack of supply.

Counter-Strike 2 skins content creator TDM_Heyzeus speculated in a recent video that this could be a product of market manipulation via a pump and dump scheme to increase interest in the sticker and thus the price while unscrupulous traders sell off their inventory of the item.
