How does the new CS2 economy change affect the CT side?

CT stocks are UP.

The most recent update to Counter-Strike brought Overpass back into the map rotation, and buffed the incendiary grenade while nerfing the MP9.

On the economic side, the counter-terrorists will now receive $50 extra each round for each terrorist that is eliminated in that round.

Whether a round is won or lost, the CTs will receive the frag bonus. For example, if your team wins a CT round by elimination and you get one M4 frag, you will earn $3250 for the round win + $300 for the frag + $250 team reward for five Ts killed, to make your total $3800 earned in that round. If the CTs win by elimination, every player is guaranteed to get at least $3500 as a result of that round. Any frags after the round timer has elapsed or the bomb has exploded do not count towards the team bonus for kills in the round.

This change was made to increase competitiveness for the CT side when they lose rounds, and to help the CTs build up a nest egg when they win rounds.

Community reaction seems to be positive regarding this economic change, with Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg posting a video titled "Valve has SAVED CT-SIDE", in which he expresses optimism for the stability of the CT economy. He also noted that this could bring about a meta where the CTs are incentivized to constantly force-buy with the hope that they will get a couple of kills to fund another force.
