To the finals for The MongolZ

The MongolZ continue to make history as first East Asian team in Major Finals!

A win over paiN has secured a spot in the history books for The MongolZ.

The MongolZ have continued to make history today as the first East Asian team to make the grand finals of a Major after taking down paiN in the semifinals of the BLAST.tv Austin Major! The team will now have the massive task ahead of them of beating Vitality tomorrow, needing to take down the juggernaut to secure a place in in Counter-Strike history.

The MongolZ's historic road took them through paiN today, with the Mongolian squad being utterly domiannt in their showdown versus the Brazilian squad. The series started with paiN posting a 5-0 lead on their CT-side on Mirage before The MongolZ completely took control of their map pick, winning thirteen rounds in a row to take it 13-5.

The next map was equally one-sided in The MongolZ favor as a pistol round win from paiN was converted into a 9-3 lead by The MongolZ at the half. After switching sides, it continued to be a relatively quick cleanup as Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch led the way to another 13-5 victory.
