Come on YouTube, do something

YouTube still hasn't removed scam ad featuring NiKo, Falcons on Major broadcasts

The scam has been going on for approximately two weeks.

There is an ongoing scam ad targeting CS2 fans during the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. The fake advertisement in question pops up during the official Major broadcast and the co-streams, and features an AI version of Falcons' superstar Nikola "NiKo" Kovač offering a giveaway.

The ad has nothing to do with Falcons or NiKo, and despite their complaints, YouTube hasn't taken it down after approximately two weeks.

"Both me and Falcons are aware of the scam ad that is going on on YouTube, please do not engage with it, don’t enter into any giveaways or try to link your accounts," NiKo warned on X on June 5th.

However, Dust2.us has spotted the ad running after that, which shows that YouTube was still unaware of the issue — at least until Erik "fl0m" Flom tagged them today, June 9th.

After fl0m's post on X, YouTube said that the screenshot of the scam ad has been shared with their review team, and that they "will handle all the next steps from there." It's unclear, though, if this is just an automatic reply or if someone from YouTube is actively looking into it as we speak.

All that CS2 fans can do right now is ignore the ad and report it on YouTube. As NiKo said, don't engage with it and don't provide any personal information.
