M80 crash out v. Nemiga at the BLAST.tv Major Austin
M80 is out of the Major, falling with a 1-3 record in Stage 2 at the BLAST.tv Major Austin.
The North American team lost to TYLOO, FURIA, and Nemiga on their way out of the Major, while only finding victory v. OG. M80's elimination is just the latest failure by NA in the Major, as all three of the region's Stage 1 teams fell before the second stage.
M80 picked Ancient to begin the series but Nemiga began the game with a 4-0 lead. M80 did fire back with four rounds in a row of their own, before the first half ended in a 6-6 stalemate.
Nemiga started the second half with a flourish as well, jumping out to a 12-8 lead, only needing to win one more round to steal M80's pick. The North American majority fought back but fell just short, losing 13-11. Ivan "zweih" Gogin posted a map-high 20 frags to lead Nemiga to a 1-0 lead in the series.
Nemiga selected Dust2 to try and close out the series, which they would be able to do with little issue. Nemiga sprinted out to a 10-2 first half lead, with Beksultan "khaN" Ospan posting a ridiculous 20-4 statline to all but seal M80's fate.
M80 weren't able to win any rounds in the second half, and were eliminated by a score of 13-2.
