ESEA adds advanced stats, new leaderboards, free team workshops for S54

FACEIT and ESEA announced a handful of quality-of-life improvements via an update earlier this week, while opening registrations for Season 54.

League match pages have been "revamped" to include more advanced statistics like Round Win Share (RWS), and KAST percentage (Kill, Assist, Survive round, Trade percentage). These same advanced statistics will be applied to league/season leaderboards, which will theoretically making "scouting talent" easier.

For Season 54, ESEA is also partnering with FACEIT partner community Priority Esports to give players a series of free workshops to help them succeed in a team environment. These workshops begin June 6th and run throughout the entire month, with sign ups available in the Priority Discord.

Finally, ESEA is also adding free qualifiers to "fast-track" progress into higher division. ESEA notes that this is for "recently reformed" teams without a higher division slot, or teams that are "confident the lower divisions are too easy." In NA, there are free qualifiers into Advanced, Main, and Intermediate.

Season 54 starts July 13th. Registration is open now until July 9th.
