ESV Latam Series 2025 reaches top four
The Electronic Sports Venezuela (ESV) Latam Series 2025, a $2,000 online tournament featuring smaller teams from North America and South America, is getting close to end as there are only four teams still alive.
The quarterfinals of the tournament were turbulent as ex-LOBOARMY played the event as Infinity and topped group B with a perfect 6-0 record, only to be disqualified because Enmanuel "SJR" Villar was banned on FACEIT for cheating this week along with two other players. Due to that, their spot was given to the NA team Guangdong Tigers.
Ozempic 5 are the only NA team that reached top four, having beaten a fellow NA team in True Synergy to qualify for the semifinals.
NA fans will also recognize MarcaRegistrada as the Mexican team qualified for ESL Challenger League 50 back in March. MarcaRegistrada beat Fusion, an all-Venezuelan team, to secure their spot in the semifinals of the ESV Latam Series.
The other two semifinalists are the Peruvian side Project h1 and the Venezuelan team MASTER ONE. They qualified for the semifinals over the Mexican team Perfect Symphony and Guangdong Tigers, respectively.
Here are the semifinal matchups:
-
MarcaRegistrada vs.
MASTER ONE - June 4, 01:00AM
-
Ozempic 5 vs.
Project h1 - June 4, 01:00AM
The winners will meet in the grand finals, which is scheduled for June 7, 02:00AM.
