Supernova Comets Fawx: "I’m in the best form I’ve ever been in"
The Supernova Comets are off to a strong start at the ESL Impact League Season 7 finals.
The NA roster dispatched French team Zerance in the first round of groups, winning 13-10 on Anubis. The star of the map was Supernova Comets' sniper Lydia "Fawx" Dalton, who collected 14 kills with the AWP and finished with 24 total.
Following the result, Fawx spoke to Dust2.us' Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore about their level of confidence, and their high expectations for the event itself.

Great showing against the French team, how are you feeling about the win?
I feel great. I was thinking we were going to surprise some people, and now I know some people who are already surprised. We’re not slowing down here; we’re going to make it out of groups and become the first NA team to do so in a while.
A bold proclamation. Does that reflect the level of confidence that the team currently has?
We have a lot of confidence. We’ve been improving every day. We put our heads down and put a lot of work in, and it showed. I think we can keep doing that and we're going to show up huge.
How are you feeling about your own individual form coming into this LAN?
I’m in the best form I’ve ever been in. I keep saying that my team is getting better, but I’m also getting better with my team. I’ve never had this kind of environment with a team before so I’m learning a lot, and my aim is showing because I’m playing more and more. And whenever I come to a LAN, I do way better.
How much is that due to playing in more mixed competitions?
Oh it’s huge. We learn a lot from the mixed teams that we play, especially at LANs; we watch back those demos a lot. We get a lot of the stuff that we do from other teams, and then we build upon it ourselves. Playing against those people has been huge for us, and it’s been helping a lot.
Fawx and Supernova Comets take on FURIA fe later today for a spot in playoffs.
