malbsMd masterclass propels G2 to the fifth round of PGL Astana groups
After a daunting start to PGL Astana, G2 have climbed out of an 0-2 hole with two straight wins. Today's victory against BIG was one of the best individual showings from Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa in quite some time.
Today's win versus BIG comes just a day after malbsMd told HLTV that he's feeling much happier overall, after a bleak four month period and despite the current "shit show" with Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas playing instead of Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač. This is also the first event for AWPer Olek "hades" Miskiewicz, who signed in the wake of superstar Ilya "m0NESY" Osipom's departure.
MalbsMd finished the series with a 120.6 ADR and a 1.87 player rating, notching 46 kills against only 25 deaths. He was equally deadly on BIG's pick of Dust2 and G2's pick of Mirage, but he shined the brightest on the CT side on Dust2.
G2 at no point in the series ever trailed BIG; they built a big lead early on Dust2 and never looked back, and then did the same on Mirage. They didn't even let BIG win a single CT round on Mirage either.

Now with two very comfortable wins under their belt, G2 only needs to beat Ninjas in Pyjamas to secure a playoff spot in Astana, before everyone's focus shifts towards IEM Dallas and the Austin Major.
