ESIC to hold conference in Austin during Major
ESIC announced its inaugural Global Esports Industry Week, which will be held from June 18th to June 22nd. The event will focus on forums and business deals between the executives attending.
Stephen Hanna, CEO of ESIC, said this regarding the goals of the conference:
Over the course of five days, we’ll tackle integrity risks head-on, debate commercial models that reward everyone in the value chain, and map out practical frameworks for player welfare and dispute resolution. By convening the industry’s most influential decision-makers in Austin—alongside the energy of the BLAST.tv Major—we’re setting the stage for agreements and initiatives that will shape esports for the next decade.
Esports industry leaders will be able to meet and make plans to tackle common objectives while experiencing Austin's unique offerings.
Notably, the ESIC Global Summit will take place on the third day and will have a focus on diving into integrity, commercialisation, and player welfare.
