Thunderpick World Championship 2025 NA Series #1 invites revealed

Thunderpick have today unveiled the invites for the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 NA Series #1, an online event that will serve as a qualifier for the Thunderpick World Championship 2025: Closed Qualifier while also offering a standalone $25,000 prizepool. The invites for the event are based on the most recent VRS update from May 5th meaning some new faces have received the nod for invites.

Starting with the playoff invites, there are few surprises with NA's top squads getting the nod although it appears that M80 declined an invite likely due to being abroad for PGL Astana 2025. It is also interesting to note that Legacy were not invited at this stage, instead being given a "wildcard" invite in the group stage although there has been some rumblings on whether or not they qualify for such an invite.

Down in the group stage we see a ton of ESEA Advanced and new ESL Challenger League squads receive the nod, with anything else, Wanted Goons, and Tsunami set to compete in the event. Their inclusion in the series comes about as a result of ESEA Advanced Season 52 coming into effect for event invites on the VRS.
