stanislaw and Wildcard got some tough draws at BLAST Rivals

stanislaw after loss to Spirit: "I'm throwing our entire Dust2 playbook in the garbage"

No one expected Wildcard to win, but the captain though they'd do better.

Wildcard unfortunately drew Spirit in the quarterfinal of BLAST Rivals, and the reigning Major winners made quick work of Wildcard.

Spirit's dominant win was clinched with a one-sided 13-2 win on Dust2. Spirt seemingly weren't even taking it very seriously, as Boris "magixx" Vorobiev revealed post-match that his teammates were effectively "playing deathmatch without comms."

But magixx wasn't the only one to speak up after the match, as Wildcard's IGL Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz expressed his disappointment with how the team played.

"We just got flattened right away," he told the desk after the match. "Our Dust2 has been really shaky for a while, I'm going home and throwing the whole playbook in the garbage and we're starting over, because it hasn't looked good."

Even though Wildcard won comfortably against paiN and predictably loss to arguably the two best teams in the world in Spirit and Vitality, stanislaw is still unhappy with the way the team played.

"This is the worst version of us that I've seen in 2025, which is a good thing; it's only up from here. We're gonna go home, get to work on Dust2 and a lot of other maps, rework a lot of things."

Outside of one qualifier, according to stanislaw, there are no more events for Wildcard between now and the start of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
