Official: RUSH and adreN exit Nouns as support dries up
William "RUSH" Wierzba and Eric "adreN" Hoag have confirmed to Dust2.us their departures from Nouns, seeing the duo exit the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO)'s lineup after a year within its ranks. The confirmation comes after the duo were conspicuously absent from the lineup during the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 1 playoffs, with the squad fielding Khizar "Momo" Rehman in RUSH's place on their way to a second-place finish in the event.
adreN and RUSH told Dust2.us that they made the decision to step away from Nouns after financial support for the lineup was discontinued following the conclusion of the BLAST.tv Austin Major NA MRQ in mid-April, leaving the lineup without salaries or any other form of external support.
Dust2.us understands that the team had been supported by an ad-hoc group of backers following the team's failed funding proposal with the DAO, however Nouns' failure to secure a spot in the Major brought an end to this support.
Dust2.us reached out to Nouns' IGL Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore about the squad's future without two of their most experienced pieces, with Cryptic telling the publication there will be news about the future of the lineup on May 3rd.
With RUSH and adreN exiting the team, Nouns are now:
-
Paytyn "junior" Johnson
-
Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell
-
Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore
-
Anthony "CLASIA" Kearney
Nouns are expected to field Momo in ESL Challenger League Season 49 playoffs when they take on Vagrants on May 6th.
