Marsborne are your Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 1 powered by INUI champions!
Marsborne has done it! The recently-formed NA team has emerged as the champions of the first Dust2.us Eagle Masters powered by INUI after taking down Nouns 2-0 in the grand finals. With the win, Marsborne have claimed their first trophy in the organization's history while also taking home $5,000 and a healthy number of Valve Ranking Points (VRS) for their trouble!
Map one, Anubis, saw Marsborne kick off their CT-side with a 5-1 lead before Nouns were able to rally in a big way, paving the way for the latter teams to seize the lead and end the half up 7-5. After switching sides, Nouns claimed their CT pistol round and the following round before their lead and control of Anubis utterly collapsed as Marsborne launched into a near-perfect T-side to win eight of the next nine rounds and win Anubis 13-10.
With map one going the way of Marsborne, Nouns started Ancient in the lead with a 3-0 run on their CT-side before another collapse coalesced with Marsborne winning their CT-side 8-4, placing Nouns on the edge of elimination. Moving into the second half, Nouns diligently worked to avoid a blowout, closing the gap to 9-10 before things were finally tied up at 11-11. Despite this far better showing on their CT-side, Nouns were unable to close out Ancient in regulation, seeing the map head into overtime.
With the Ancient in overtime, Nouns were able to find two more rounds before Marsborne mounted a comeback to win the next four rounds in a row to win Ancient 16-14 and take Ancient 16-14 and the series 2-0.
