Nouns and Marsborne advance to Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 1 finals

Only two remain.

The grand finals of first Dust2.us Eagle Masters has been set. Nouns will take on Marsborne in the grand final for the $5,000 prize and the honor of being called champion.

Both teams advanced past semifinals with 2-0 victories, but one team had a considerably easier time than the other.

Nouns won rather comfortably against Getting Info, with 13-8 wins on both Ancient and Nuke, propelled by strong CT sides. There was no spectactular individual performance, but strong showings all around from Nouns; all five players dropped at least 30 kills in the series.

On the other side of the bracket, Marsborne had a much tougher time putting way Fisher College. Despite taking an early 10-2 lead on Ancient, they Marsborne had to withstand a furious second half comeback, escaping with a 13-10 win.

Train needed three overtime periods to settle things, with Marsborne finally getting the win after securing three CT rounds in the third OT. Adam "WolfY" Andersson was the hero for Marsborne, dropping 45 on Train with 22 coming from the AWP. He finished the series with 60 kills and only 37 deaths.

Nouns will face Marsborne in the grand final at 12:00AM. These two went head-to-head earlier this event in round four, with Nouns winning the series 2-0 via a 13-11 Train win and a dominant 13-4 victory on Ancient.
