CS2 tops Twitch esports viewership in Q1 2025
CS2 has reached yet another milestone as it became the most-watched esports on Twitch in the first three months of 2025, according to Esports Charts. Valve's FPS secured the No. 1 spot with 99.16 million hours watched, which is significantly more than League of Legends' 78.44 million hours.
IEM Katowice 2025 was the event that recorded the highest peak viewership for CS2 esports thus far, with 937,876 simultaneous viewers on Twitch. The prestigious ESL event is usually the biggest tournament before the first Major kicks off.
Dota 2 (59.12 million), VALORANT (58.68 million), and Rainbow Six Siege (14.8 million) rounded out the top five most-watched esports on Twitch in Q1 2025.
While CS2 is far more popular than other esports on Twitch, it was only the third most-watched esports on YouTube in Q1 2025. League of Legends and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang drawed more viewership on YouTube.
The tendency is that CS2 continues dominating, at least on Twitch, as we just had an incredible grand final between Vitality and Falcons at IEM Melbourne 2025, and the BLAST.tv Austin Major kicks off in June.
