jkaem benched by BC.Game, admits to "full blown" gambling addiction with €300k allegedly owed
Just a day removed from Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović's allegation that Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad owes more than €300,000 in gambling debts to various people, BC.Game announced today that the Norweigian player has been benched.

"We've mutually agreed that it's best for jkaem to take a step back from the active lineup for the time being," the team wrote on their official X account. "This allows both the team to stay focused on their respective priorities." BC.Game say they are currently looking for a stand-in at IEM Dallas.
The benching is fallout from the claims made by kassad yesterday that jkaem owed himself and Owen "smooya" Butterfield money, and that he had also "scammed" skins from pro Hampus "hampus" Poser and others. Kassad would eventually take down some of his tweets as they contained private information, before deleting all of them and stating his intentions to settle matters with jkaem privately.
HLTV said in their report today that they have managed to corroborate many of kassad's claims and obtain "evidence indicating significant loans taken out by jkaem that have not been paid back." HLTV also plans to publish an investigative report detailing the scope of his debt "soon."
After his benching today, jkeam posted his own statement on X today. "I have managed to run a blessed life, career, family and job into the ground," he wrote. "By being a full blown gambling addict that has taken advantage of friends, family and people around me." The 31-year-old has said he will post daily updates of his repayment process on Snapchat.
