G2 stomp Cloud9
The sixth match of the New Legends stage of the ELEAGUE Major Boston would see the two 3-0 teams from the qualifier, Cloud9 and G2, face off in a one sided affair on Cache.
G2 would start running out the gate with a dominant pistol win, which would snowball into a quick 6-0 lead before Cloud9 would pick up their first. After picking up the round, the North American squad would be immediately reset by a staunch G2 defense led by Nathan "NBK" Schmitt.
At 10-2, Cloud9, despite being in a disadvantageous 2v4 situation, were able to finesse a plant and hold off a G2 retake with Tarik "tarik" Celik finding three frags and the round. Cloud9 seemingly cracked the code and were able to recover from their early woes and find the last few rounds of the half to end with a respectable 10-5 scoreline.
Cloud9 would continue their streak and find the second half pistol and the subsequent round with relative ease. However, with a powerful third round Ak buy, G2 and Richard "shox" Papillon would win their eleventh round. The French squad would quickly find their way onto match point where they would be upset by a stout C9 forcebuy. Despite a folly in the previous round, Kenny "kennyS" Schrub would find a double entry onto the A site and soon after the round, ending the match 16-9.

With the win, G2 will advance to 1-0 in the Swiss system and will look to take their second win tommorrow. Cloud9, however, will look to bounce back on day two and prove their dominance in the New Challengers stage was not a fluke.
The next match of the New Legends stage will see Natus Vincere take on their CIS rival in Gambit, and for the last match of Day 1, SK with felps will take on the Turkish Space Soldiers.
