MOUZ and koi part ways

The American coach will be pursuing opportunities in both NA and EU.

After working with MOUZ as an assistant coach for several months, Colin "koi" Thor will be departing from the organization following the expiration of his contract on January 1st, 2022.

koi officially signed with MOUZ in late October, in the midst of the PGL Major in Stockholm, where the European squad finished in 12-14th place in the Legends stage of the event. Prior to this, he had a trial period in which he helped the team prepare for a variety of events, including  ESL Pro League Season 14. Following his signing, koi also helped MOUZ through both DreamHack Open November 2021 and IEM Winter 2021.

Prior to his time with MOUZ, koi worked his way up through the North American scene by playing for Michigan Tech Huskies' collegiate CS:GO team, and also through an analyst position for former MDL squad Warriors International.

This move comes during a hectic time for the European organization, with koi stating in his farewell tweet that MOUZ would be looking to restructure going into the new year. Aside from parting with koi, MOUZ has also lost star player Robin "ropz" Kool and head coach Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg during the squad's shuffle.

MOUZ are now:

  • Australia Christopher "dexter" Nong
  • David "frozen" Čerňanský
  • Denmark Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand
  • Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras

Following the expiration of his contract, koi is open to coach and analyst positions in both North America and Europe.
