Update: Extra Salt and oNe advance to ESEA Fall Cash Cup 3 semifinals
UPDATE - October 24th, 2021: Extra Salt have announced that they will be playing day two of ESEA Fall Cash Cup 3 with Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek as a stand-in for Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado due to the latter player being unavailable for an undisclosed reason.
The first day field of rosters in ESEA Fall Cash Cup 3 have been whittled down to just two, with Extra Salt and oNe surviving the gauntlet to play for Sunday's $15,000 prize pool. ChocoCheck and Triumph finished on the outside looking in, while Third Impact made it the furthest of all of the event's ESEA Advanced rosters.
ESEA Premier showed out in this Cash Cup, with just two sides falling in the first three rounds to other Premier competition. ONET4P made an early exit in that fashion after losing to ATK, while Northern Forces eliminated Verum. Third Impact made it all the way to the penultimate hurdle, the best result of any ESEA Advanced side, where they fell to Extra Salt. ATK were eliminated by ChocoCheck, Detonate were sent packing by Triumph, and Northern Forces were bested by oNe.

Extra Salt were powered to a day two berth by a strong performance by Justin "FaNg" Coakley, who finished with 25 kills in just 21 rounds. On the other side of the spectrum Anthony "CLASIA" Kearney had a forgettable performance for ChocoCheck, where he posted just four frags.

Similarly to the other qualification match, oNe were the benefactors of a strong 23-kill performance by Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa to put them through to a matchup with Party Astronauts. Triumph were emphatically shut out of the sites on their T-side and Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk was limited to just four frags in the loss.
