Valve releases Copenhagen Major Viewer Pass with new Pick'Em Challenge

The update comes with a UI overhaul and a slightly new pick'em format.

Valve has updated the PGL Copenhagen Major update for Counter-Strike 2 with the viewer pass for sale for the Major. As usual, fans can purchase the viewer pass or the viewer pass plus three additional souvenir coins for a small discount.

Prior to today, fans would pick one team to go 3-0, one team to go 0-3, and then seven teams to advance. The goal was for players to get at least five predictions correct, with many choosing to put their surefire picks in the advance category to ensure that they would get at least five correct.

Previous example of the Pick 'Ems format used during the IEM Rio Major

Now, however, the format has shifted where players will be able to select two teams to go 3-0, six teams to advance either 3-1 or 3-2, and then two teams to go 0-2. This makes the Pick 'Em more challenging as players have to be accurate in selecting who advances with a certain record. While now there are two chances to choose 0-3 and 3-0 teams, picking a team to advance 3-2 or 3-1 going through flawless will no longer count as a correct prediction.

This new Pick 'Em format will cause some issues

This new format is also in place for the Elimination Stage, however the Playoffs are still the expected two correct Quarterfinal, one correct Semifinal, and one correct Grand Final prediction.

Valve has yet to update Counter-Strike 2 with the stickers for the Copenhagen Major. With the first matches starting in just under four days, hopefully the 38 Major rookies will see their signatures in the game soon.
