Official: Stewie2k will play at IEM Dallas

It's official, Jake "Stewie2k" Yip will be playing for G2 at IEM Dallas. The former Cloud9 and 2018 ELEAGUE Boston Major winner will be stepping for Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen who is missing the event due to his sister's wedding.

This will be the first official LAN for Stewie2k since the 2022 PGL Antwerp Major Americas RMR where Evil Geniuses finished 8th and just missed out on attending the Major.

Dust2.us originally reported that Stewie2k was one of the options for G2 last week and he is now confirmed to be standing-in according to the rosters submitted to ESL.

Stewie2k has appeared to begin his comeback to the Counter-Strike scene following his departure from Evil Geniuses in July 2022. He had previously joined Legacy in the wake of Marcelo "coldzera" David's departure after the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major as he played for the squad in their ESEA Advanced campaign. He left the squad shortly after Guilherme "saadzin" Pacheco joined from W7M.

G2 are set to play against Falcons to kick off their IEM Dallas campaign starting on May 27th.

G2's squad at IEM Dallas will be:
