Media: Liquid evaluating roster changes six months in

According to a new report from HLTV, Casper "cadiaN" Møller could be next on the chopping block. The charismatic IGL is in danger of being benched only six months after signing for the team in December 2023. While no definitive moves have been made, IEM Dallas 2024 could be the Dane's final event with the squad.

cadiaN will be under extraordinary pressure for the next few weeks as he attempts to lead Liquid to victories at the CCT Global Finals 2024 and IEM Dallas 2024, the latter of which North American fans hope will bring success on home soil.

The organization has struggled since the introduction of its revamped roster, as they have been beaten domestically and missed out on the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major. With star-studded signings in Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken, Felipe "skullz" Medeiros, and cadiaN, it's safe to say that the squad has failed to live up to the high expectations.

It is not entirely the in-server performance that is contributing to this potential roster move. Luis Mira reports that the team atmosphere is "not positive" and contributes to potentially parting ways with their captain. While the team has shown LAN improvements with their performances at IEM Chengdu 2024 and ESL Pro League Season 19, that might not be enough to save cadiaN's job.

Liquid as an organization have struggled to retain their title as the best North American squad since the departure of Nick "nitr0" Cannella after IEM Dallas 2023. Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis eventually took on the role of IGL while switching to a European-majority roster, only for that iteration to crumble in a few months times. Since nitr0 exited the team, Complexity have taken the mantle of NA's number one squad.
