Mauisnake was not selected for the desk.

Mauisnake not included in Major talent

The Hawaiian will not be in Copenhagen.

Fans were stunned this morning when Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg revealed that he would not play a part in the upcoming PGL Copenhagen Major, having burst out into the scene over the last two years while being involved in the last three Majors.

PGL has elected to go with four analysts in fellow American Jason "moses" O'Toole, Jacob "Pimp" Winneche, Sudhen "Bleh" Wahengbam, and Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez on the desk, with Mauisnake one of the odd men out.

Mauisnake is no stranger to PGL events, having worked the entire 2022 PGL Antwerp Major, including every RMR as an interviewer before becoming an analyst for the main event.

In a tweet revealing his exclusion from the Major, Mauisnake said "Moments like these are about believing in the product that I offer regardless of a missed hire." He also explained that he would be available for podcast and stream appearances.

Elsewhere, fans are also commiserating over the fact that Janko "YNk" Paunović was not invited to join the analyst desk this time around, especially considering his exclusion from the 2023 BLAST.tv Paris Major as well.
