scar and Limitless are splitting after a tumultuous season of ECL

Limitless part ways with one

Tea team's return to Advanced has spurred a change.

Limitless have announced that the squad is parting ways with Matthew "scar" Bruni. The move follows the end of a disappointing season of ESL Challenger League for the team, with the squad being demoted to ESEA Advanced after accruing a 0-7 record throughout Season 45.

scar had been competing under the Limitless banner since August 2022, when the organization opted to rebuild their roster after their previous lineup failed to make a deep run in ESEA Advanced Season 41 playoffs. With Limitless, scar helped the squad qualify for ECL after a second-place finish in Season 43 of Advanced. Once in ECL, the young squad managed to latch on to their spot after a 3-4 record secured them a place in relegation, where scar's 1.30 rating allowed them to return for Season 45.

Season 45 of ECL proved not to be as fruitful for Limitless, with the squad only managing to take maps off Take Flyte and ATK, going the whole season without laying claim to a series win, shipping them directly back to Advanced for Season 46.

Limitless' roster is now currently:

  • United States Josh "JBa" Barutt

  • United States Kamron "kmrn" Manli

  • United States Max "Makzwell" Sparrey

  • United States Adam "Grizz" Golden

  • United States Chris "Jeebs" DeSantis (Coach)

While the team prepare for their return to Advanced, scar is on the hunt for a new squad to represent ahead of the start of Season 46.
