HexT apologizes for offensive tweet history
Yesterday evening, a video posted by Duncan "Thorin" Shields hinted that there was a player with a history of making potentially racist or anti-LGBT statements and indicated that an article would later be coming out about the subject.
Later that day, Dexerto released an article detailing the offensive tweets by current Evil Geniuses CS:GO player, Jadan "HexT" Postma.
The offensive tweets posted by Dexerto are preserved by the internet archive and include the usage of several racial and homophobic slurs. HexT, who is currently 21-years-old, had posted the tweets in 2015 and 2017, when he was 13-years-old and 15-years old.
Jadan "HexT" Postma apologized this morning in a series of tweets, in which he regrets the tweets and says that the tweets make him "wince". He is "ashamed of how I tried to express myself as a teenager, and I am sorry for the hurt I caused due to my actions."
At the current time, Evil Geniuses have not released a statement regarding the player's status within the team. The organization did part with Christopher ‘NYChrisG’ Gonzalez after racist comments made on Facebook in 2017 surfaced. NYChrisG, however, was 26 at the time that he made the comments.
