FNS reunites with ptr after having played with him on the original iteration of Counter Logic Gaming

Riot Squad add FNS and Jonji

Riot Squad look to reset their fortunes with the acquisition of the Canadian duo.

Ahead of their match against ex-heX in Mythic Cup 4 Riot Squad announced the additions of Pujan "FNS" Mehta and Jonathan "Jonji" Carey to their squad.

FNS and Jonji initially appeared on Riot Squad during the first MSI MGA North American open qualifier, where the squad made it into the Closed Qualifier after crushing Lowkey 16-3 in the third-place decider.

The addition of the Canadian duo marks the return of FNS to a permanent squad, with the player being mostly inactive since being released from eUnited at the start of the year. As for Jonji, his move to Riot Squad completes a two-way transaction between Riot Squad and New Identity as Michael "dapr" Gulino originally left Riot Squad to replace Jonji on New Identity.

Riot Squad are now:

  • United States Peter "ptr" Gurney
  • United States Austin "crashies" Roberts
  • United States Mitch "mitch" Semago
  • Canada Pujan "FNS" Mehta
  • Canada Jonathan "Jonji" Carey
  • United States Jeff "RZU" Ngo (Inactive)

With the permanent addition of FNS and Jonji, Jeff "RZU" Ngo has been left without a team or a league spot though he remains contracted to the organization at this time. As for Josh "shinobi" Abastado his status is currently unknown, with the player and organization declining comment at the time of the publication of this article.
