Two teams exit as six survive in ADV S43 playoffs

After the two lower-bracket matchups last night, ten teams have been eliminated thus far.

Entering the fourth round, there is almost no more room for mistakes between competing teams as only the six hottest teams remain inside the competitive S43 playoff bracket. Last night’s games saw two three-map battles in the lower-bracket, bringing us to six surviving teams.

#6 Reign 2-1 #7 Orion

Reign started the series looking quite dominant on their oppositions pick of Inferno, mounting an 11-4 first half lead on CT side before closing the map out with ease 16-5. Orion responded with a valiant win on Nuke 16-13 to take it to a decider. A tight 8-7 half made the series as close as can be before Reign took over in the second half of the Ancient decider. An 8-4 T side effort on the decider meant a 16-11 map win and 2-1 series victory for Reign as Orion are eliminated.

EX CINCERE rallied back from an initial deficit on their Overpass pick, eventually securing the map in overtime. After grinding out TF 22-19, it was EX CINCERE who had the momentum entering the Nuke decider.
