YuZ steps down from Mythic; tweiss joins starting lineup

After helping the team as a sixth man last season, tweiss has claimed a starting spot on the stream team.

Brandon "YuZ" Cyr has stepped down from Mythic, leaving the popular NA stream team on October 15th. In his place, Tyler "tweiss" Weiss has claimed a permanent spot on Mythic after being a regular stand-in for YuZ and Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir last season.

In the tweet announcing his departure from Mythic, YuZ announced that he would be taking some time off from CS:GO in the near future. When Dust2.us reached out for comment, YuZ said he would be taking at most two seasons off from competition after feeling burn out due to dedicating a large amount of time to the game this year.

As previously mentioned, tweiss will be taking over the reins after a fruitful period as a stand-in for Mythic last season. In the thirteen maps he played, tweiss posted a 1.10 rating. tweiss also helped Mythic survive relegation by posting a 1.29 rating over five maps.

Mythic are now:

  • Erik "fl0m" Flom

  • Nicholas "hate" Young

  • Austin "Cooper" Abadir

  • Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir

  • Tyler "tweiss" Weiss

Mythic will play in ESL Challenger League Season 43 when the new season starts on October 25th.
