NA RMR Open Qualifier delayed by power outage in shared apartment

Because two players from two teams live together, one outage has caused both games to come to a screeching halt.

In the midst of the penultimate matches of the NA RMR Open Qualifier to decide who of NA will fight for in-game stickers, the unthinkable happened. The lights flickered and one apartment lost power, ruining the possibility of not one, but both semifinal matches. How? Let's take a short trip down memory lane.

Not too long ago, Christopher "Swahn" Swahn and Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman competed on the same team, North America's darling, Bad News Bears. Since they played together, they lived together as well, sharing one apartment between the two of them. However, Bad News Bears has since disbanded. Nonetheless, the living arrangement between the two stayed the same.

The two of their careers went on different paths as Swahn went on to join BHOP and Shakezullah is now competing under the mix team Pete's Hookah Lounge for the RMR Open Qualifiers. Both of them found success though, with both of their teams finding themselves in the top four of the final RMR Open Qualifier. On different sides of the bracket, both teams were ready to compete, until the aforementioned power outage.

Now, both of them look for a place to play from, and until then, the Open Qualifier is at a complete standstill.
