Infinity upset timbermen
Mexican-Peruvian squad Infinity have claimed an upset win over ECL squad timbermen, putting them one best of three away from qualifying to the American RMR. Should they win over Pete's Hookah Lounge, it would be the closest any Peruvian or Colombian players have come to a Major in CS:GO history.
Ancient started off with timbermen winning their CT-side pistol before Infinity climbed up to a 4-2 lead. timbermen would answer back with three rounds of their own before Infinity took complete control of the half by winning the final six rounds to lead 10-5 against the American squad.
Switching sides, timbermen won the T-side pistol rounds to go two-for-two on the map before going on to win the following round. Despite this early lead into the half, Infinity quickly answered back by winning five out of the next six rounds to take match point. The next five rounds would see timbermen put up a valiant offensive to try and force overtime before ultimately capitulating in round 29, allowing Infinity to clinch Ancient 16-13. Renato "Pacman" Morales led his team to victory with a 1.57 rating backed by 29 kills and 105.6 ADR.
