ELEAGUE Season 2 champions reunite on EG.CD

Evil Geniuses have significantly bolstered EG.CD today, announcing the return of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz to the organization while also transitioning William "RUSH" Wierzba onto the squad. stanislaw joins as a replacement for the recently benched Anthony "CLASIA" Kearney, while RUSH fills the gap left by Jadan "HexT" Postma's promotion to the primary Evil Geniuses lineup. stanislaw's imminent addition to EG.CD was first reported by Dust2.us on July 27th.

The additions of stanislaw and RUSH on EG.CD sees the duo reunite after being on divergent paths for more than five years. stanislaw and RUSH's previous collaboration on OpTic is well remembered in the annals of NA CS:GO history for the team's historic win over Astralis in the grand finals of ELEAGUE Season 2. Until FaZe Clan blew a 15-11 lead in the 2018 Boston Major to Cloud9 giving NA its first and only Major in CS:GO history, the $400,000 first-place prize at ELEAGUE Season 2 was the largest individual sum of money won by a North American team in any iteration of Counter-Strike.

While stanislaw and RUSH's careers have taken a slump this year, they are massively overqualified for ESL Challenger League and it will be interesting to see the effect the two tenured players will have on the rest of the roster. As previously reported, stanislaw will be taking over IGL duties within EG.CD moving forward. This change will hopefully allow Colby "Walco" Walsh to focus on his individual performance and learn as much as possible from stanislaw.
