Detonate round out roster with new duo

The roster has filled out their ranks in relatively short order.

Detonate have finalized their starting roster ahead of ESEA Advanced Season 42, recruiting Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield and Paul "aris" Wilson, with the latter being on loan from Strife after returning from his temporary retirement. The addition of the duo brings an end to a minor rebuild for Detonate which began with the departures of Devin "Xzen" Barber and John "arcade" Rogel a couple of weeks ago.

Wolffe links up with Detonate after spending the past season with Early Birds and Drunken Masterz following his return to Counter-Strike after a stint in VALORANT. The 20-year-old's time on the former squad came to an abrupt end back in May when he departed that roster for Drunken Masterz, eventually helping his new side to a modest 6-8 regular season record – enough to stave off demotion down to ESEA Main, but still leaving much to be desired.

aris, meanwhile, join's Detonate's books as in-game leader on loan from Strife, returning to competition after electing to hang up the mouse back at the start of May. Prior to this, the Canadian enjoyed a fair amount of success, averaging a modest 0.97 rating across 50 maps but backing this up with a first-place finish at Fragadelphia 16 alongside a fourth-place showing in ESL Challenger League Season 40.

Detonate will field the following roster for ECL Season 42:

  • Johnny "JDubs" Wu

  • Landon "landmaz" Lawrence

  • Sam "Noxio" Goodwin

  • Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield

  • Paul "aris" Wilson

  • Luke "Viathan" Carstens (Coach)

Detonate will now be eagerly awaiting the start of ECL Season 42 on August 16th.
