CodyG has had everyone in NA rally behind him

Community rallies around CodyG's Heart Surgery GoFundMe

Liquid players have donated thousands to CodyG in the last 48 hours, helping the amateur CSGO player break $6,000 in donations.

In a Tweet posted July 30th, Cody Grannan, a CSGO player who has participated in ESEA Intermediate and Open since Season 34, revealed that in addition to his diabetes, he was born with a heart disease called subaortic stenosis. This is an illness that requires surgery to be cured. While Cody has been a full time worker and college student along with his CSGO career, he does not have the funds to pay for his life-threatening surgery. That is when he turned to Twitter, hoping that his CS community could help him in some way.

The immediate outpouring of support was tremendous. In just two days since the fundraiser began, Cody has raised over $6,400 of his $7,500 goal, a life-saving amount of money. Chief among those supporters are all Liquid players, each putting hundreds of their dollars in the pot to help save Cody. As of the time of writing, Nick "nitr0" Cannella has donated $300, Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis has contributed $500, Keith "NAF" Markovic has donated $1,000, and Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski has contributed an incredible $1,500 to this worthy cause. In addition to the Liquid players, Mythic-do-it-all Erik "fl0m" Flom has donated $1,000 to the drive, making him a top three donor so far.

The support obviously means a lot to him, as can be seen from his response to the donations.

We here at Dust2 would like to extend our greatest thanks to the Liquid squad and everything they've done for Cody. If you would like to support him as well, you can donate at his GoFundMe linked here.
