HEN1's addition could help MIBR to compete for best in Brazil

MIBR reportedly close in on HEN1

The former GODSENT and FURIA AWPer is poised to bolster MIBR's ranks.

Per Dust2 Brasil, MIBR have concluded negotations to sign Henrique "HEN1" Teles as a replacement for the outgoing Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes. chelo's departure comes as he has been tapped as Imperial's number one choice to replace Lincoln "fnx" Lau. Should this move come to fruition it would see HEN1 reunite with Bruno "BIT" Lima after briefly playing together on Não Tem Como in early 2018.

HEN1 recently entered free agency at the end of June after GODSENT's core was acquired by 00 Nation. Should there be no roadblocks to this signing, it would be a major coup for the Los Angeles-based organization as HEN1 is regarded as one of the best AWPers in Brazil. He was also ranked as the 16th best player of 2020 by HLTV in their yearly ranking.

His addition to MIBR would also likely see a major rejiggering of the team's roles as Breno "brnz4n" Poletto would almost certainly drop the primary AWP role to accommodate HEN1. This would not be a major issue however, as brnz4n was a rifler before joining MIBR, only picking up the role to fill a gap left by Adriano "WOOD7" Cerato's exit from the lineup.

Per the report, MIBR will be:

  • Brazil Raphael "exit" Lacerda

  • Brazil Matheus "Tuurtle" Anhaia

  • Brazil Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian

  • Brazil Breno "brnz4n" Poletto

  • Brazil Henrique "HEN1" Teles

  • Brazil Bruno "BIT" Lima (Coach)

MIBR's next two events are ESL Challenger League Season 42 on August 16th and ESL Pro League Season 16 on August 31st.
