There are more YEKINDAR and nitr0 high-fives to come

Liquid lock-in YEKINDAR for BLAST Premier Fall

NA's favorite Latvian will be playing for Liquid at BLAST Fall Groups, but his current contractual status is unknown.

Once again, Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis will be suiting up for Team Liquid at an international event. Sources have informed Dust2.us that today marks the roster deadline for the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Groups. In documents obtained by Dust2.us, YEKINDAR has been listed on Team Liquid's roster, reprising his role from IEM Cologne 2022.

Dust2.us is not able to confirm the current contract status of YEKINDAR, however. It is unknown if the Latvian player is just standing-in once more for the American organization or if he has been signed on a long-term deal. Given YEKINDAR's performances at IEM Cologne and how every Liquid player remarked that his addition was invaluable to the team, one hopes that he will be able to come to an agreement.

It should be warned that YEKINDAR's inclusion on the BLAST roster today is not a guarantee that he will be playing for Liquid at BLAST. Due the circumstances surrounding YEKINDAR's contract status, several questions remain unanswered. If YEKINDAR does not end up playing for Liquid, BLAST may impose a fine, place Liquid as the lowest seed, or be forced to use a substitute in the event.

Liquid's roster for BLAST Premier Fall Groups should be:

  • United States Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski

  • Canada Keith "NAF" Markovic

  • United States Josh "oSee" Ohm

  • United States Nick "nitr0" Cannella

  • Mareks "YEKINDAR" Galinskis (Stand-in)

  • Canada Damian "daps" Steele (Coach)
