Drew is on the lookout for a new team after being cut from ex-UYU

ex-UYU complete post-demotion rebuild

The former UYU squad look to shake things up after failing to win a single series in ECL last season.

ex-UYU have finished an overhaul of their roster following a dismal 0-7 regular season performance in ESL Challenger League Season 41. To that end, the team parted ways with Kamron "kmrn" Manii and Andrew "Drew" Warkentin on June 26th while adding Cory "shutout" Frymark and Jake "zebra" Davis on June 26th and June 30th, respectively.

Matthew "tatm" Munro told Dust2.us that ex-UYU decided to make these changes to the lineup due to a mixture of low drive and cohesiveness following their failure to find a win during the season, along with a desire by Alvin "Alvin" Bui and Kevin "omniscient" Ma to play with shutout. shutout and omniscient had previously been teammates during season 40 as part of Eros. The final piece of the team, zebra, spent season 41 with Omega in ESEA Advanced.

With these changes, ex-UYU are now:

  • Matthew "tatm" Munro

  • Alvin "Alvin" Bui

  • Kevin "omniscient" Ma

  • United States Cory "shutout" Frymark

  • United States Jake "zebra" Davis

The team will look to finish signing with their new home before ESEA Advanced Season 42 begins on August 8th.
