Luxe kicks player one week into lineup for toxic behavior

The controversial lineup formerly known as timbermen has already had an incident with player behavior.

Less than a week into the signing of timbermen, a roster known for their racist and offensive behavior, Luxe have already had to cut a player loose due to comments made in a game on FACEIT.

During the game, which was streamed by Eros player James "Gonzo" Madden, aleph abandoned the game before coming back and saying to his teammates "all you should kill yourselves."

While it's hardly the worst thing a player associated with this lineup has said, it's a bad sign that the team has already needed to make changes due to player behavior.

Regarding aleph's removal, Luxe told Dust2.us that the decision to remove aleph followed a unanimous vote by his teammates due to his toxicity. The organization also added that any player that infringes on their standards will be dropped as "these aren’t just our standards but the team’s standards as well."

In aleph's place, Luxe have added kirai, a relatively new player who previously played for Vireo.pro and Rebirth.

Luxe are now:

  • United States Derek "dare" Brown

  • United States Wyatt "snav" Phillippi

  • United States Shane "shane" Dressler

  • United States Matthew "nero" Seymour

  • United States "kirai"

Luxe currently have a 1-0 record in ESEA Advanced Season 41. Luxe's next match will be against Davenport on April 29th at 10:00PM.

Disappointed, but not surprised. Part of me naively gave this "aleph" character the benefit of the doubt when this project was shared with the masses by the hero we need but don't deserve but it turns out that he is just as much of a disgusting internet deviant as I'm sure many less optimistic readers inferred prior. Hopefully FACEIT and ESEA follow suit with some harsh sanctions on "aleph" and his ability to play, or we may have a serial mean word user loose in our peaceful pug communities.

It's a serious privedge and responsibility to play ESEA Advanced, and since all the other competitors are nice, sportsmanlike and positive beacons both in the community and behind closed doors it's important that we hold timbermen to that same standard. Thanks once again to "Mnmzzz" for the PSA. I know your ever vigilant eye will let us know if these guys further disgrace what it means to play a video game semi-professionally.
