C0C0 parts ways with Tempest

Tempest continue to overhaul their roster.

Nicolas "C0C0" Nassoura and Tempest have gone their separate ways according to the 19-year-old. This follows the squad's unsuccessful run in the second North American RMR open qualifier where one of the team's players allegedly failed to show up for their second round match, causing them to concede a forfeit loss.

C0C0 enjoyed a five-month tenure with Kaan "KaKi" Bolukbas and company, joining the squad back in October alongside Julien "Gurtzz" Grotegut who was also benched two weeks ago. During his stint with Tempest/YeniCherry, C0C0 averaged a 0.97 rating across thirteen maps, notably helping the Turkish side to a 7th-8th place finish in ESEA Advanced Season 39. At Fragadelpia 16: The Block, the team again managed to impress, netting themselves a fourth-place showing with the Lebanese on their ranks.

In spite of their strong performance last season, things have been less than ideal in recent times. The squad currently sit middle of the pack in ESEA Advanced Season 40, boasting a modest 6-5 record. Meanwhile, their appearances in stand-alone events have also been far from impressive. Tempest have failed to make deep runs in each of their recent ESEA Cash Cup appearances while also falling 16-8 to DotMax in the Round of 32 stage of the first American RMR open qualifier.

C0C0 released a TwitLonger to further expand on his departure from the roster. In this, among other things, he highlighted the previously mentioned benching of Gurtzz, alongside claims that the team's communications leading up to his exit had been predominantly in Turkish, as reasons for his desire to move on. Previously, this article mentioned that Gurtzz was still benched on the Tempest roster. After publication, Gurtzz reached out to Dust2.us and informed us that they are no longer part of the team in any capacity. The article has been updated.

Tempest now have:

  • Kaan "KaKi" Bolukbas

  • Ihsan "G3DITOR" Yigit

  • Michael "Brashi Chadwick

  • Alperen "TR0JN" Kilic

  • Suleyman "NForc3R" Savci (Tactical Coach)

  • Mare "iNfusioN3" R. (Performance Coach)

Tempest's continued revamping of their roster will need to be settled in time for their match versus Vireo.pro which is scheduled for March 15th at 10:30PM.

Coco is one of the strongest individual players I have had the chance to work with, and he should have no problems finding an extremely competitive team soon.
