CarterJ returns to CS:GO as Brazen coach

Brazen will be looking to secure promotion to ESL Challenger League this season.

Carter "CarterJ" Richardson has announced his return to CS:GO as coach of ESEA Advanced side Brazen. This sees the 26-year-old fill the void left by the departure of Eric "EMT" Timmer last month following the roster's unsuccessful run through ESEA Premier Season 39 Relegation.

Prior to hanging up the mouse, CarterJ was last seen on ImPerium's books where he helped the team secure promotion to ESEA MDL Season 35. Unfortunately, this would prove to be a lackluster season, with the squad only posting a 3-13 record before being relegated. Before this, CarterJ spent his time on several rosters across the ESEA league circuit, having played consecutively from ESEA Season 21 through 35 before his retirement.

Brazen will be hoping that CarterJ's addition will be enough to help them reach ESL Challenger League as the side narrowly missed out on promotion last season after a 5th-6th place finish in ESEA Premier Season 39 Relegation. Outside of league play, the team will also be looking to make deep runs in standalone tournaments, with their most recent showing being a fourth round exit in the third ESEA x Fragadelphia Winter Cash Cup following an overtime defeat at the hands of ATK.

With CarterJ's addition, Brazen are now:

  • Ian "heretic" Carfora

  • Max "SolGoat" Wallace

  • Austin "Sway" Pollock

  • Dacoda "pengnax" St Louis

  • Isaac "Izik" Zeigler

  • Carter "CarterJ" Richardson (Coach)

Brazen have hit the ground running since CarterJ's addition as they currently boast a 5-1 record in ESEA Advanced Season 40. Their next matchup is set to be against Omega on February 21st.
