Davenport University complete roster with corn

The former Eros coach has found a new home with the Panthers.

Davenport University have announced the addition of Tommy "corn" Eckhart to the team ahead of the start of their campaign in ESEA Advanced Season 40.

The collegiate squad has been on the hunt for a fifth player since the departure of John "arcade" Rogel following the conclusion of Davenport University's ESEA Advanced Season 39 playoff run, which saw them miss out on Premier Relegation after losses to MIBR and Coldest Riders. The core of Davenport University most recently participated in Fragadelphia 16: Chicago, where, despite an impressive group stage, the squad was unable to make a deep run, falling in the first round of playoffs to Alex Rider.

Prior to this move, corn is most well known for his time coaching Villainous and later Eros. During his tenure as a coach, he helped the former team qualify for ESEA Premier Season 38 through ESEA Premier Season 37 Relegation, which led to the acquisition of the squad by Eros. Eros' results in ESEA Premier Season 38 were far from stellar, seeing them fall to Relegation where they managed to retain their spot heading into ESEA Premier Season 39. Following the conclusion of Relegation, corn opted to depart Eros in favor of returning to being a player rather than a coach.

corn spent Season 39 in Advanced with Noah "NoVa" Vaknin and co. in Unjustified, with whom he narrowly missed out on playoffs after securing an 8-6 overall regular season record. corn was initially set to continue playing ESEA Advanced Season 40 with Unjustified, but ultimately he decided to pursue Davenport University's offer, leading to the fracturing of the Unjustified lineup.

Davenport University now fields the following roster:

  • United States Spencer "Pugg" Moore

  • United States Collin "CoJoMo" Moren

  • United States Brandon "BeB0" Miller

  • United States Joseph "slomotion" Derby

  • United States Tommy "corn" Eckhart

  • United States Bret "Agent" Kepler (Substitute)

  • United States Colin "koi" Thor (Coach)

  • United States Grant "GKaay" Kino (Assistant Coach)

Davenport University now eagerly await the start of ESEA Advanced Season 40, slated to begin on January 31st.
