Detonate disband

After losing Swahn, Delta9, and silas the team have gone their separate ways.

Detonate have released their lineup and the squad has disbanded. The news follows Christopher "Swahn" Swahn's exit from the team to join Bad News Bears on January 11th and David "Delta9" Shafer's departure on January 14th.

Detonate's owner Levoski Brown told Dust2.us that Detonate made the decision to part ways with their lineup after Silas "silas" Marrufo announced his intentions to take a break from CS:GO due to changes in his personal circumstances. This left Detonate with only two players, requiring them to find three players on extremely short notice which proved untenable.

In the announcement, Detonate said all of the players are now free agents, with Brown saying this is to allow the squad to more easily pursue individual offers. Additionally, he plans on giving the roster slot to Delta9, who is reportedly looking to build a new lineup to use the slot.

Detonate was:

  • Canada Andrew "Ghostii" Kehler

  • United States Silas "silas" Marrufo

  • Canada Christian "Sutter" Sutter

  • United States Taylor "ioRascal" Hays (Coach)

If Delta9 wants to use Detonate's former spot, he has precious little time to do so as ESL Challenger League Season 40 is set to begin on January 18th.
