Misfits end Rise Nation's Major hopes
Misfits and Rise Nation met each other in the elimination match of Group B, with both teams hoping to extend their tournament life and chances to reach the Major qualifier.
The first map was Nuke, a map which Rise Nation have had some success on, even against this very same Misfits team. Things started off promising for the Premier side, as they took the opening pistol on Terrorist side and followed up with three additional rounds.
However this is where things got ugly, as David "devoduvek" Dobrosavljevic took over the half, and Misfits won all the remaining rounds in the half to take an 11-4 lead.
Rise would again win the pistol and take four rounds total on their CT-side, but Misfits once again slammed the door on them, taking the map with a 16-8 score.
Rise continued their pistol winning ways on Overpass, again jumping out to a 4-0 lead. Misfits were again able to overcome the deficit, finishing the half with a 9-6 lead. Misfits finally won their first pistol of the series, and despite attempted heroics from Brandon "Ace" Winn (and having the highest rating of the map), his team was no match for the French-American side.
