ZOTAC Cup Masters Americas Regional first round matchups and format revealed
ZOTAC have unveiled the format for their upcoming Cup Masters event in Santa Ana, California. The tournament will see six teams compete for the lion's share of $20,000, and award the winner with a spot at the ZOTAC Cup Masters Grand Finals in Hong Kong.
The event will kick off with best-of-three opening matchups, seeing compLexity take on FURIA followed by Swole Patrol facing off against Sharks. The losers of these matches will be eliminated.
The winners of the compLexity-FURIA matchup will move on to play in the best-of-three semifinals against eUnited, while Ghost wait in the wings for either Swole Patrol or Sharks for a best-of-three of their own. The losers of these matchups will play in a third place decider matchup just prior to the best-of-three grand finals.

The ZOTAC Cup Masters Americas Regional matches are set to kick off on June 30th, seeing compLexity take on FURIA for the opening bout. Ghost and compLexity are currently competing in the closed qualifier for DreamHack Masters Stockholm, where one of the six competing teams will qualify for the $250,000 event in Sweden.
