Is it time for nak and Sharks to break through?

Sharks and FURIA secure spots at ZOTAC Cup Masters Regional

The two Brazilian sides are on a roll, securing their second offline appearances in nearly as many days.

The first two teams through to the ZOTAC Cup Masters America Regional Finals have been found, in the form of the Brazilian pairing of Sharks and FURIA.

If the two teams seem familiar to you, that is because they also both recently emerged at the top of the ESL Latin America League, and now will play each other for the final spot at the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals.

Both teams are helmed by experienced Brazilian veterans with years of experience dating back to 1.6 — Renato "nak" Nakano for Sharks, and Guilherme "spacca" Spacca for FURIA.

The Brazilians came out on top of a qualifier full of recognizable names, and dealt with their threats in kind. FURIA defeated NTC and Isurus en route to the final, and Sharks defeated both INTZ and YeaH!.

The full qualifier bracket is available here.

The current team list for the ZOTAC Cup Masters America Regional Finals is as follows:

Both teams now await to see which two teams will be invited, and who will emerge from the Closed Qualifier. But first — three open qualifiers remain for North America. F1-racecar-PEEK and Gorilla Gang secured passage to the Closed Qualifier when the dust had settled from the first.

You can find links to the subsequent qualifiers on our Calendar page.
