dazzLe and dapr are reunited once again

dazzLe joins Bad News Bears as crashies steps down

The 22-year-old will look to pursue VALORANT instead.

Austin "crashies" Roberts has stepped down from Bad News Bears, with the player telling Dust2.us that he will instead be "focusing on VALORANT." Will "dazzLe" Loafman has been enlisted in his stead, reuniting the former eUnited player with Michael "dapr" Gulino.

The move also marks a reunion between dazzLe and Jonathan "Jonji" Carey, with the duo most recently playing together on New Identity. Notably, Jonji found himself replaced by dapr on that very roster just one month after joining, with the team going on to be signed by Singularity in October.

Bad News Bears were last seen competing under the FunPlus Phoenix banner in Flashpoint 1, where they managed a playoff berth before being eliminated in back-to-back losses to MAD Lions and Gen.G. In the 15 maps that the team played, crashies averaged a 0.90 rating, the second lowest on the roster above in-game leader Peter "ptr" Gurney.

dazzLe, meanwhile, has been largely inactive since the disbanding of Singularity, with his only activity in the last three months coming from a brief appearance on New Patrol in the Americas Minor North America Closed Qualifier.

Bad News Bears are now:

  • United States Peter "ptr" Gurney
  • United States Mitch "mitch" Semago
  • Canada Jonathan "Jonji" Carey
  • United States Michael "dapr" Gulino
  • United States Will "dazzLe" Loafman

The team will have little time to get practice in as they prepare to compete in the ESL One: Road to Rio tournament, which is slated to kick off on April 22nd.
